Simple information concerning Clean eating

The principle behind clean eating is simple: eat more of the cleaner, healthier options of each of the traditional food groups and cut back on the less healthy options. Cutting back does not mean that certain foods are banned entirely. Nor is there any calorie counting. This makes clean eating easy to start and even easier to follow. If you want to start today, here’s some steps you can take. The first step to take is to choose whole grains. Whole grains are more nutritious than refined grains and are often labelled clearly on the packaging when it comes to bread, pasta and breakfast cereal products. For rice-based products, ensure that the first item on the ingredients list says “brown rice” instead of just “rice flour”, or look for the words 'whole grain' on pack before pruchasing. Corn, buckwheat, millet & sorghum are also whole grains but do not require “whole grain” written in front.

Did you know that CORNS THINS are made from wholegrain corn? Products like delicious CORN THINS make getting more whole grains in your diet convenient.

Added sugars are often included in many packaged foods. Clean eating advocates restricting added sugars from your diet whenever possible. Even healthy foods like yoghurt and some breakfast cereals may have added sugar so always check the ingredients list to be sure that sugar is not included or at least listed near the bottom of the list. Sugar can add flavour but it's not essential as there are many products, such as CORN THINS, that have no added sugar and use only 100% all natural flavours.
